The method I use for moving crates around can be applied to anything in a level - enemies, spawn and end points, platforms, objects, anything with set coordinates can be changed, even camera angles and stuff. So that includes the red gem in Snow Go. I just did this as a quick test but I can load up the original Crash 2 some time to see exactly where the original position was and then make this into a proper mod if you want.
