[NST] How do I replace Button prompt textures?
#1
Question
[Image: unknown.png]

I got my Nintendo Switch controller to work on Crash NST and I want to touch it up a little by making a texture mod that replaces all the Hud with the Nintendo Switch buttons, I really don't know if there are textures for buttons, but I do know that PS4 and Xbox buttons are in the PC version, and I've never seen the switch controller used in this game.

I've only looked into this briefly but I think the button icons that appear in prompts like that might actually be part of the fonts rather than separate textures. I have no idea how the fonts work but Motwera has had some luck with custom fonts so he might?

I contacted him on Twitter and he would need some assistance from you to get the Nintendo Switch prompts from the Switch version.

I haven't been able to find how within the files, but apparently there's an injector mod for XB1 button replacement by KameIMan. Perhaps if I could somehow do something similar provided somebody can provide with the Switch button prompts, then it might be possible.

I have only been able to rip NST on Switch and I do not know at all how to open the .PAK files so i can check what is inside of all of the contents

It should be possible to do so easily if you use ARD's ALCHEMIST tool, I reckon

I used the Alchemist tool and it is very very hard to find the textures for it, but i did find a .igz file that had the words WiiU in it which indicated it was probably the font replacement for the buttons, but i cannot check it at all or even open it.
