Idea for NST Dev Relics/Times
#1
I wouldnt not know how to go about this and know it would be very hard todo but...

We have the Dev times for all the trilogy listed at the end of the credits, we could have a purple dev relic when beating those times

If it's possible to get to the Relic artwork I don't think changing the colours would be too hard in photoshop

I have actually beaten every Dev time on NST except the broken time Hog Ride in C3, so I'm at the point if I knew how to get too the Plat relic file I would just change that so I it feels like something has been accomplished XD

Just an idea, don't want to offend anyone with my little knowledge of modding the game

You're not offending. The game itself is offensive. Against what? Against Naughty Dog's Crashs. It's not even all that moddable anyway. Otherwise there would've been a full-on classic mod made for NST years ago.

Then again, what's the point to mod NST, if the mod requires the game itself? That heavy, hardware-consuming fraud. Best to stick with the real deals that Naughty Dog and Tt Games have provided us. Are they moddable? Kinda. But even if you can't mod 'em, you don't have to, cause nothing is wrong with 'em as opposite to Fucktivision's hoaxes

Haha, I understand theres alot of people with this POV. For me I was 9 and got Crash 1 for Christmas and loved the whole PS1 set and even WoC. I do however really enjoy NST, NF, IAT too, I don't have many complaints about NST, and I know the dev times were just an extra in the credits for the developers, but would just be cool to get a purple relic when beating them

If you want to add an extra tier of relic to the game on top of the existing ones that might be complicated. But it's easy enough to do something like change all of the platinum times to the dev times. It would still take a while to change them for every level but if you want to do it the relic times are stored in the zoneinfo files, inside chunkinfos.pak:

Those 3 values are platinum, gold and sapphire times, in that order. Changing them will update the target times in game. If you have already beaten the time you change it to, you won't automatically get the relic. I also don't think you'll lose any relics you already have by making target times faster. So to get the full experience of actually winning relics for beating the dev times you might have to play on a new save.

There's relic icons in the 2 juicedomain paks if you want to change eg. the platinum one to purple or whatever.

Thank you for the great reply Smile

Me and my Brother have done the dev times for all 3 time slots for all levels (because covid and no work lol) I will try to figure out how to grab the plat relic and change it in photoshop Smile if I can get the files I will post results here if they work for me

Thanks to your help ARD, I done an ok job of Crash 1 for what I think it could of looked like going off IAT. Crash 2 and 3 will be a bit harder where they use the 3D models but...
