IgzModelConverter
#1
Hello everyone

Today I'm gonna release IgzModelConverter - it can extract 3d models from NSTCTR and Skylanders Imaginators (since v1.2) but currently only the meshes so no bones and texture applying (materials) but I'm gonna work on that too  Shy

Tutorial:
  • Drag and Drop your Igz 3d Model File in IgzModelConverter.exe like seen in attachments (IT WILL CRASH IF YOU OPEN IT NORMALLY!)
  • Enter nst, ctr or skl
  • Enter act, mod or sky (actor, model or skybox)
  • Finished! Now it should have created a fbx file in the folder where you have the igz file which can be opened by any 3d model viewer programm (3d-viewer, Blender, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D,...)

Now I have a GUI of IgzModelConverter download here (v1.2): http://www.mediafire.com/file/ixrz1acegi...2.exe/file

Here is the github for IgzModelConverter: https://github.com/AdventureT/IgzModelConverter

Here is the latest Release (v1.3): https://github.com/AdventureT/IgzModelCo...s/tag/v1.3

Here is the Download Link for IgzModelConverter (console line, fbx, v1.2): http://www.mediafire.com/file/3gvbe5p3lv...r.exe/file

Here is the Download Link for IgzModelConverter (console line, obj, v1.1): https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/6...verter.exe

And if you want pre-releases of the program or downloads for paks from ctr or skylanders (which contains igz files) then join our discord I would be happy to see you!: https://discord.gg/FWE47aK
Enjoy Smile

honestly, these models look so much better after the shaders are applied to them. their models outside of the game look pretty nasty. wonder if there's a way to emulate the shader it uses utilizing geometry on the model.

textures I got through TextureFinder, just straight up opened the igz for each texture and exported them.

I don't know anything about 3D models, didn't realise you could just paste the textures right onto the objects and they would work correctly. Don't know how to add multiple materials to a single object though, at least in unity.

3d models have like multiple layers of materials doing it in unity is kinda weird however if you just drag and drog since it may just replace the entire thing. assign the texture material manually in unity to get it working!

Also I want to extract some of the later models like (Spyro, nina, etc) idk if it's okay to ask but how can I get the igz files for ctr?

That's the problem I'm currently facing too. I've seen material references in the igz file so maybe I can extract them too. But that means also I'm gonna switch to another 3d model file format probably fbx so I can store bones and materials etc. instead of obj (obj limits you hard, only meshes).

But I'm suprisied I thought i messed up the texture coordinates but apparently it's working well  Big Grin

Any chance to see the models get uploaded anywhere? I'd love to try rigging some of these, mostly Stew.
