Crash NST: Arctic Antics remake
#1
Shocked
A few months ago I saw some people on the Crash reddit talking about whether or not it would be possible to remake levels from the Wrath of Cortex in the N. Sane Trilogy and I thought it sounded like an interesting challenge so I tried making a couple of mockups of an Arctic Antics remake before realising I still had a long way to go with my level editor before it was ready to handle a big project like that. But I've spent a lot of time working on the editor since then, with the intention of giving Arctic Antics another shot once I thought I would be able to make it just using the editor without any manual editing of the files. So after a considerable amount of blood, sweat and tears, I present to you a custom N. Sane Trilogy level that is significantly more complicated than my last release, and was made entirely within the level editor:

Download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/aple9rsduj...Antics.zip

Install instructions:
This is a PC only mod! Console modding is horrible sorry.
Download the zip and copy the contents of the folder titled "Crash Bandicoot - N Sane Trilogy" into the folder with the same name where your game is installed. This is a level mod of Future Tense, so to access it you can either head to the Future Tense portal in the Crash 3 Time Twister or just load it directly with the NST Level Selector or whatever method you like to use. This mod does not replace any existing files and can be uninstalled by simply deleting "update.pak" in the game's archives folder.

Important: The game is 100% likely to crash when you exit the level, either by finishing it or quitting through the pause menu. This mod was created using a level editor that is still very much a work in progress and so there are still some issues that I haven't fixed yet and this is one of them. I have a pretty good idea of what causes the crash and how it might be avoided but it's possible it might just be something we have to live with when making custom levels as complex as this one. I haven't encountered any horrible corruption or anything as a result of playing the level but if your save data is important to you then I'd recommend backing it up just to be safe.

This level is not a completely accurate 1:1 recreation of the original WOC level but anything that's wrong was either unavoidable or would have taken me a long time to sort out and I just wanted to get this done ASAP. I might release a more polished version alongside the level editor when that's eventually ready. There's a lot more I would like to say about this level, so for anyone who's interested I am planning to make a video where I go behind the scenes of the project, show how it was put together and simultaneously give the more in depth progress update about the level editor that I promised in the last video I made about it. But I'm gonna take a few days to chill first because I haven't slept for a really long time.

Incredible work! Looking forward to giving this a go. Don't suppose you've been able to get TTs working for it?

Also, more than happy to contribute to your level editor if you've got the source open.
