Crash Bandicoot 4: ItsAT trailer was released!
#1
This is the first official trailer for Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, published today, at June 22nd, 2020.

Some info I got from the trailer:
Seems like there are 4 masks which do different purposes, but we only got to see one that changes gravity, and one that controls time. It also seems that the gameplay style is a mix between the classic games and Twinsanity, with some levels that are wider and have more to explore. From the trailer, it also seems that the game kinda followed Warped's theme, which is Time Travel (it's on the title, duh!). The themes of the levels vary from prehistoric to futuristic. It also seems that Cortex is a playable character some of the times, just like Twinsanity. There are also new bosses and also others that already appeared in the series.

There's also this interview with one of the developers from Toys For Bob that covers more in-depth some details and a bit more.

The game will seemingly release on the following platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X. The Nintendo Switch and PC releases are unknown from what we've seen. The release date from the trailer is October 2nd, 2020 and you can pre-order the game right now.

From everything that has been shown so far, I can safely assume that the game seems pretty good. It's hard to judge the gameplay from the trailer alone, but it just seems fun and that it will have a lot of variety, as well as a lot of platforming sections and parts that require the masks, which is good since it complements the core experience that game is trying to pass to the player.

Where's Time Trials tho?

Yes, please elaborate, and choose your words carefully. It Activision/TFB just see people talking trash they're not likely to listen. This attitude makes those of us with legitimate concerns look bad.

I'm gonna be honest, my hopes are pretty low. Toys for Bob has a bad track record, and remaking a (three) games somebody else designed doesn't show that they can design a good game themselves. But I can see from some interviews that at least some of the guys over there at TFB are genuinely personally invested in the project and they are trying to make a good game. So please, voice your concerns so they can be heard and acted upon, but don't trash the game before you can play it. I know it's easy to talk shit, I've done it myself, but it's not right, *at least* in this context.
I'm an evil scientist, what do you expect? This isn't a game, you know...
